Who would you be without the thought…?
Who would you be without the thought that:
Your partner should understand you without you having to explain?
Your kids should automatically pick up their toys after they play?
Your parents should appreciate you for who you are?
Who would you be without the thought that:
Your boss does not like you?
Your colleagues should know how much you’re juggling?
You should be promoted by now and earn more?
Who would you be without the thought that:
Your body should look different?
You should be more productive, more disciplined, more successful?
You should be further ahead in life by now?
Who would you be without the thought that:
Others should behave differently… so you can feel better?
There shouldn’t be so much injustice and inequality?
Politicians should do what they promised?
The world should be a kinder place to live in?
Now, take a breath.
And imagine a day where you don’t carry those thoughts. Not because you’ve solved every issue or lowered your standards—but because you’ve decided to let go of the weight that isn’t yours to carry.
What if peace doesn’t come from fixing everything around you—but from freeing yourself from the storm of your very own thoughts?
What if most of your suffering doesn’t come from what’s happening…but from what you think should be happening instead.
So here’s my invitation today:
Read through these questions again.
Notice the one that hits home.
And ask yourself:
How do I react when I think that thought?
What does it prevent me from experiencing or doing?
What might become possible for me if I simply… let it go?
You don’t have to control everything.
You don’t have to fix every little thing.
You don’t have to carry the world’s weight on your shoulders.
You get to choose peace through one thought at a time.
You’re not alone in this.
You’re just one shift away from starting to feel free.
